Altec Decals - Group Buy

I took the liberty of blowing up the lower banner.. I don't know if it will help.But here it is .

How many decals are we talking about here.FWIW I think we need to take an account of how many decals we want.As it will help determine if it is worth someones time to do them for us... The water slide paper isn't cheap either..

If we have enough Interest for a couple hundred or more than we should have no problem.I'm going to ask Rudy to take a look at this thread.And get his opinion.If he doesn't want to do them then we may have to get with the guy that Pano suggested or elsewhere...

Before Marty does too much work I personally would like to have a printer lined up before hand or this could all be for naught ! Need some opinions here guys what do ya think ?

Here's a somewhat cleaned up version of the 'bar." My mouse is incapable of making a straight line or a neat curve, so the last two letters need some work!

I have this in full rez if needed.

As I mentioned above, the proper printer is an Alps opaque ink printer. Maybe there is something else in the two years since I researched this, but that is what guys making decals for models etc were using.

Nicely Done ! Why did you write on it ? Was the lettering missing/off ? Looks nice though

Lettering was fuzzy and speckled or damaged here and there. Standard photoshop cleanup practice. Easy to fix that in Illustrator anyway, which I do not have on my machine.

I am a bit rusty on photoshop but either this mouse sucks or I destroyed my motor coordination with beer and caffeine! Maybe both!

I have the jpg if anybody else wants to take a whack at it.

EDIT: Here's a better version ...I cut and pasted "O" and "N" from elsewhere in the lettering rather than fixing the last two.

Shoulda done that from the start...

Thanks for the help today guys, I believe I have all I need to give the font in the bar a try.
Best, I think we have enough info get a minimum order quantity and a ball park price for various order sizes.

Sorry I haven't been able to check in. Marty, looks good - I just think the lines need to be a little thicker. The letters need a thick, black outline.
Gold ink can be done by silkscreen, no problem. If the decal maker does them that way, then we're "Golden."

The only metallic inkjet printer I know is (was) the Alps. Silkscreen is a great choice onto the water-slide because the ink is thick and strong. Let's see if we can get that done.

Looks like we would have a lot of takers if we do this.

I agree gold printers ink is the way to go It can be done on a press too but not sure there are to many press runners out there any more. And boy is it a bitch to clean up afterwards. I used to run a press any metallic ink is a bitch to clean up. I think the amount of sales for them will be dependent on how accurately the decals are replicated.
